Due to COVID-19, in order to protect the safety of our clients, staff, and our community, we are cancelling all volunteer opportunities and information tours until further notice. We will continue to monitor and adjust for future months as well, if needed. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Sign-up and Register to Volunteer
We believe that individuals, families, and groups can make contributions that address hunger and homelessness in our community. We provide engaging and impactful opportunities to get involved. We rely on people who value serving others and making a commitment.
"Sign up" and "Register"
The process to volunteer is simple. If you are interested in any of the events listed below, click "sign up." You will then need to "register" your name/group and agree to our volunteer waiver. After registering you will have an account with us and can sign up for future events. Instructions and details about each event will be emailed to you.
Community Kitchen Volunteer: One of the best ways to volunteer at One80 Place is to serve a meal in the Zucker Family Community Kitchen. Since this opportunity is so popular, dates on the calendar tend to fill up fast. We ask that individuals and groups be considerate of the number of times they sign up each month. Each meal service will vary in regards to the number of individual volunteers needed. Breakfast: 3 volunteers needed; Lunch: 6 volunteers needed; Dinner: 4 volunteers needed. Only those who signed up via Volunteer Hub will be allowed to serve. You must be 18 years of age or older. To get started, click on an open Community Kitchen shift below.
Dress Code: We ask that you not wear any revealing clothing that includes see-through clothing without an appropriate undershirt, short shorts, sports bras, tank tops, spaghetti straps, low-cut tops, halter tops, skin-tight clothing or overly baggy clothing. Open-toe shoes or sandals are not allowed. Volunteers must wear close-toe shoes (preferably slip resistant).
Groups: Group leaders will need to find a date with enough spaces available to accommodate everyone. Each person from your group will need to sign up individually. Plan ahead to make certain everyone can serve with your group.
Information Sessions: We offer informal tours and information sessions geared toward a broad audience who want to learn more about us. Tours will be held the first and third Monday of each month at our main location 35 Walnut St. in downtown Charleston. The tour will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. in our lobby and will last about 20-25 minutes. Information sessions will resume when One80 Place goes back to normal operating procedures for volunteers.
Special Events: Make sure to periodically check our calendar since we will need volunteers for various upcoming events.
Court Ordered Volunteers: One80 Place doesn’t accept court-ordered volunteers. Most court-mandated volunteering does not fit with the volunteer assignments we have available. We will not be able to verify your hours if you are completing volunteer service for court-ordered purposes.
Donations Needed: Contact our Donation Center for more information on donating needed items to One80 Place at info@one80place.org.
